Acupuncture/Bodywork: heal and relax at the same time!
Doreen offers an eclectic blend of acupressure, reflexology, Chinese Medical Massage (Tui-na), and Acu-Stone Gwa Sha, which are highly effective techniques for treating the strains and sprains of sports injuries. Acupuncture treatments begin with Medical Massage combined with Hot Acu-Stone Gwa Sha Massage and Acupressure as preparation for the Acupuncture. The practitioner develops a customized, individual treatment for each patient, addressing the most critical health issues. As an alternative to acupuncture needles, cupping therapy can be performed on patients. Cupping is a non-needle technique that was used during the Olympics by Michael Phelps and other Olympians, to revitalize their systems and enhance performance.
The heat of the Hot Acu-Stone activates the healing and medicinal properties of the oils, releasing them into the body as they massage into tight muscles like a hot knife through butter.
